Skyrim is a single player first person game set in a time similar to the late middle ages. The game includes an extremely high level of violence not suitable for children under 13. The official age rating of skyrim is an 18 because of the level of violence but also because of a long, complicated storyline and playing style. However, the game is not entirely about action, it includes problem solving skills that are needed to complete some quests and it also requires the player to decide what kind of character they want to be when engaging with people in the game. The game itself is very open, there is one set storyline but upon completion of it, there are hundreds of optional quests that your character can take part in. The game itself is quite old (released in 2012) however the the graphics still hold up today despite the occasional lag or glitch. The only downside to Skyrim is that is does not contain an online option. However, Skyrim is a really great teen game that I would strongly reccomend to anyone who enjoys action/adventure games.
