Conspiracy: We all live in the Matrix
Many people loved the movie "The Matrix", and it touched on some very strange questions.
"What if we all lived in a simulation?" was the main idea of the movie.
But what if this movie was a sick joke by the people that actually do run the simulation that is our universe?
Even Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur and founder of Space X, Tesla and Paypal, has told an interviewer there is only a “one in billions” chance that we’re not living in a computer simulation.
He also claimed that, if we’re not living in a simulation, we could be approaching the end of the world.
As proof, he says: "Forty years ago we had Pong. Like, two rectangles and a dot. That was what games were. Now, 40 years later, we have photorealistic, 3D simulations with millions of people playing simultaneously, and it's getting better every year. Soon we'll have virtual reality, augmented reality. If you assume any rate of improvement at all, then the games will become indistinguishable from reality, even if that rate of advancement drops by a thousand from what it is now. Then you just say, okay, let's imagine it's 10,000 years in the future, which is nothing on the evolutionary scale. So given that we're clearly on a trajectory to have games that are indistinguishable from reality, and those games could be played on any set-top box or on a PC or whatever, and there would probably be billions of such computers or set-top boxes, it would seem to follow that the odds that we're in base reality is one in billions."
It is believed that many billionares in silicon valley are investing millions into trying to determine whether we are inside a simulation or not, and if so attemting to get us out. The fact that bizzare things seem to be happening now could be proof. Donald Trump is a person who people thought would never become president, but he did. It's as if someone running this simulation has thought "hmmm... I wonder what would happen if he did become president?", and went ahead and did it. If this all is true, none of what we do matters, and we could be deleted any second.
