Holidays

Many people decide to go on holiday to a ski resort. People stay in chalets or appartments and have the opportunity to ski every day. Children (or adults) can decide to have lessons with a local ski school or you can just explore the mountains by using chairlifts and gondalas to get you up the mountain. There are many slopes, called pistes, to ski down, they are marked in varying difficulties- green (easiest), blue, red and black (hardest). Also if you are a good skiier you can ski off piste (not on the slope). When on holiday you don't need equiptment- there are plenty of ski shops that provide all the neccessary items to rent like skis, poles, boots and helmets.
